Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. For over 60 years the organization has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global missions.

 At St. Mark's Lutheran Church women have the opportunity to develop a close bond of fellowship with other women in the congregation through LWML Circle meetings. The Circle groups are women’s ministry groups of prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. All women are welcome!

Faith Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM in member’s homes.

Naomi Circle meets on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the church office.

Did you know...

• that the LWML societies from the twelve Lutheran churches in Broward County form the Gold Coast Zone of LWML? They meet each spring and fall at different churches. These Zone Rallies usually meet on a Saturday morning, finishing around 1 p.m. This is a great opportunity for Christian learning, worship, fellowship - and food.

• that all the LWML societies in Florida and Georgia form a District that comes together once a year at different cities? Every other year they meet at a Convention to elect officers and determine a list of recipients for our MITE Box offerings. On alternating years we concentrate on a weekend of relaxing, worship and learning at a Retreat.

• that every other year all of the LWML districts in the United States gather at a Convention at different cities for fellowship, learning, and selection of officers and projects? Several of our own members have had the privilege of attending some of these gatherings.

• that the mites we collect join with other mites from other societies to form a MIGHTY force, spreading God’s Word to many places and many projects? The District uses 75% and sends 25% to our National LWML.

All of these activities eventually come back to the individual lady – to you!
